Detailed 3D scale model for Hotel Thermen Berendonck – a relationship gift with impact

For the prestigious Hotel Thermen Berendonck – now officially awarded a 5-star classification – 3D Maquettes created a high-quality and realistic 3D model. This multicoloured architectural scale model was offered as a gift to the various construction partners involved in the realization of this luxurious wellness hotel in Wijchen.

The purpose of this architectural model was twofold: on the one hand, as a tangible reminder of the successful construction project, and on the other, as a powerful visual tribute to the collaboration between the client and the executing parties. The model was presented as an exclusive gift at the project’s completion.

The base for the model was provided by Strategie Architecten in the form of a digital 3D file. Since this original file was not directly suitable for 3D printing, we completely adjusted, cleaned, and optimized it from a technical perspective. Careful attention was given to printability, material thickness, scaling, and the transfer of architectural details. The result is a scale model that is both technically reliable and visually impressive.

The model was produced in PLA material and printed in multiple colours to achieve the most realistic outcome possible. In addition, it was enriched with detailed landscape elements such as lawns, trees, paving, and other environmental features that contribute to the recognisability of the location.

For complex or fragile elements such as the many balconies and decorative arches, a refined approach was chosen: these parts were printed separately in small series, carefully measured by hand, glued, and placed in their exact position. Thanks to this meticulous process, even the smallest features of the hotel were faithfully reproduced in miniature form.

The final result is a realistic, detailed, and aesthetically refined hotel model that serves not only as an eye-catcher but also as a tangible reminder of a remarkable project. For the construction partners, receiving this model meant a unique recognition of their contribution – a thank-you that goes beyond words.
