Modular architectural model for Innic – layer by layer insight into design and space

On behalf of Innic – Designing Space, 3D Maquettes developed an advanced and modular 3D model of an architectural design in Horst (Limburg). This scale model was specifically designed to present the spatial structure of the building in a clear and interactive way. Each floor of the building is individually produced and removable, allowing users to literally gain layer-by-layer insight into the structure, layout, and functions of the design.

This interactive model offers a unique added value within the design process. Because the floors are easily removable, architects, developers, and clients can study and discuss the internal structure and spatial coherence of the building per level. This makes the model highly suitable for use in design sessions, client presentations, and participation meetings.

The modular construction of the scale model provides not only visual appeal but also functional depth. The architectural elements were carefully printed and assembled using 3D printing technology (PLA) and manual finishing. The precision in dimensions and thoughtful design makes it possible to convey complex spatial relationships in a tangible way.
